Planning to Deliver your degrees abroad in India
31/08/2006
There is an ever increasing demand for UK qualifications in India. Of the over 100,000 international student, over 17,500 students are Indian students coming every year to continue their higher education.

However there is a considerable student population in India who cannot afford to study in the UK and are looking to study UK degree options in India. As a result many Indian institutions are looking for close tie-ups with UK Universities/Colleges so they can deliver UK degrees/diplomas to these home students in India.

The aim is to deliver UK degrees with exactly the same standards and values as the degrees offered from the UK campus, but to do so at a greatly reduced cost. These courses should also offer some sort of international experience and allow these students to come to the UK for a short period to complete part of their studies and experience UK/International culture.

We can help to enable this course to be open to students from other neighbouring countries like – Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and other countries in the SE Asia creating a truly international campus.

StudentConnect International has many partner institutions who are looking to collaborate with UK Institutions across a variety of courses (both at post-grad and under-grad level) such as:
• Business/Finance, Economics & Law
• Computing, Engineering & Sciences
• Leisure, Travel, Tourism & Hotel Management
• Arts & Design

and many other related areas.

Its important to bear in mind that All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has recetly published detailed guidelines for approval of foreign education institutions offering qualifications in India - 'it was a surprise to everyone that Stanford University was not allowed to setup a campus in India' (The Statesman - New Delhi, April 2006).

If you need more information or wish to discuss opportunities in India and the guidelines from AICTE, then please contact StudentConnect on 08707601492 or email: uk.institutions.enquiry@studentconnect.info
